Level Two Certificate in Coaching Football
The Level Two Certificate in Coaching Football is awarded in partnership with 1st 4sport Qualifications for candidates over 17 years old. The aim is to provide candidates who have been involved in the game with an introduction to the processes and principles of coaching Association Football to adults and children. The Certificate offers an opportunity for potential coaches to develop their knowledge, effectively plan, conduct and evaluate coaching sessions.
Outcomes
- Coach basic skills and techniques through related practices and small sided games
- LTPD (Long Term Player Development)
- Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of attack/defence
- Plan, conduct and evaluate progressive coaching sessions
- Develop an appreciation of the coaching process
- Ensure health and safety of players and others/responding to emergencies
- Promote high standards and behaviour with players/coaches/parents and officials
