Introduction to the NVQ Football Coaching Programme
The NVQ Football Coaching Programme is a practical-based course which is delivered in both years 12 and 13. The course can combine Level 2 and 3 National Vocational Qualifications in Coaching, Teaching and Instruction alongside FA Coaching certificates.
The well structured range of courses provide a valuable addition to the school’s current curriculum programme. The qualifications gained enable students to follow pathways into both higher education and employment within the sports industry
The NVQ Football Coaching programme is 85% practical-based, so it provides an excellent alternative to A-level PE for students who struggle with high levels of theory.
The aim of this full-time course is to support sixth form schools and colleges by offering vocational options for Level 2 students in line with Department for Education and Skills (DFES) recommendations.
